It has been reported that Cheryl Cole could finally be dumping Cole for good, her surname that is.
The former X Factor panel judge has reportedly been in talks with her management company about ditching her cheating ex-husband Ashley Cole's surname, in a bid to make a new start in her career. A friend of the star says,
‘She finally feels it's time to stop being Cheryl Cole…She gave him another chance, but it didn't work out…That surname is a big part of her brand, but it's also a huge reminder of her past. She thinks it's time to get rid. She wants a new look, a new career - and a new name.”
Even after the couple split Cheryl maintained that Ashley was still a huge part of her life, and keeping his surname reflected just how close she felt to the footballer. It now appears as though the singer wants to make a fresh start, which could mean she’ll be reverting back to Tweedy.
