It’s the divorce that was kept very hush-hush; Madonna and Guy Ritchie were married for 8 years until they split in 2008, and the reason for the split was never made clear, we just knew that it had reportedly ended amicably. However Guy has spoken out that he doesn’t regret marrying the Crazy For You singer, Guy says,
"I enjoyed my first marriage. It's definitely not something I regret. The experience was ultimately very positive. I love the kids that came out of it, and I could see no other route to take. But you move on, don't you?"
Guy has spoken out about his marriage, which he claims was reminiscent of a soap opera, but says that he wouldn’t take back the years spent with the pop legend as she gave him son Rocco, 11, and the couple’s adopted child David, 6. Guy went on to say,
"I stepped into a soap opera, and I lived in it for quite a long time. I'll probably be more eloquent on it 10 years from now…When you end up with a lot of the things you set to out to chase and find that you've stumbled into all sorts of hollow victories, then you become deeply philosophical. I'm quite happy that that experience was accelerated for me. I'm glad I made money, in other words. And I'm glad I got married."
Since the split, pop icon Madge has had the odd toy boy fling, but is now with new love Brahim Zaibat, and director Guy has settled down with partner Jacqui Ainsley, with whom he has a baby boy.
