Blimey, ever get the impression some people take their love for fashion too far? Well we think Jessica Simpson is one of those people. The singer-turned-fashion designer has been busy chatting about her impending motherhood – and according to her, there is absolutely no chance that she’ll be forgoing her style in the run up – and she even plans to be wearing her high-heels during the labour!
“The doc said, ‘You will need to get out of those heels’,” she joked. “I was like, ‘Excuse me? I’ll be delivering in them’!”
You might be ‘joking’ now Jess, but we wouldn’t put anything past you. Don’t forget we watched Newly Weds back in the day – we know what you’re really like!
Jess only revealed that she was pregnant earlier this month – even though rumours of a bump had been circulating for a while. But before the rumours began, Jess was heavily criticised for her weight. Speaking to Lucky magazine, she explained, “I got so much scrutiny for putting on extra pounds, but I think that the decision not to make myself anorexic was actually great for branding. Because when you’re really, really skinny, not everybody can relate to you. Everybody fluctuates, but I’m open about my weight and I’m still confident. I didn’t cry about it too much.”
How refreshing is it to hear a lady who loves fashion embracing her womanly curves as well. A lot of famous types could learn from her, that’s for sure. And Jess, we’re very excited for your growing family – heels and all!
