It's been three years since Kerry Katona was declared bankrupt, but the star has now managed to clear off all her outstanding debts. Kezza has reportedly used the £35,000 she was paid for Celebrity Big Brother to pay off the last remaining demands - and she is now able to get credit once again.
"She's really chuffed, and she should be too," a friend explains. "She put her head down, worked hard, and done the right thing. The people in charge of her bankruptcy thought she would blow all her Celebrity Big Brother money, but she handed it over to them to settle her debt. They've made it clear they will not object to any request she makes to the courts to have her bankruptcy discharged."
Kerry ran up huge debts during her ill-advised marriage to Mark Croft, buying him lavish gifts and blowing vast sums of cash on drugs. The former Atomic Kitten admitted that she'd lost almost four years to drugs, and that had she stayed with Mark Croft she would have ended up dead. It was her children that finally persuaded her to seek help - and get rid of the awful Croft.
Now that she's cleared her debts, friends are urging Kerry to turn her back on the showbiz world and have a more normal life, with some pals even suggesting she open an upmarket beauty salon.
