Lily Allen has become a mum for the first time after giving birth to a baby girl. The singer is reported to have given birth yesterday evening, with one of her friends letting the happy news slip on Twitter.
The tweet, from Lily's ex Seb Chew, read, "Sending love out to Lily, Sam and baby Cooper...YES!"
The happy news comes just a year after the singer tragically suffered a miscarriage when she was six months pregnant. Lily has always been very open about her desire to start a family, and she was pregnant again before she married her now-husband Sam Cooper in June this year.
It's a lovely happy ending (and indeed beginning) for Lily and Sam, and although her spokesman has yet to make a statement, reports say that both mum and baby are doing well.
Huge congratulations to Lily and Sam!
