We’re not quite sure if it’s the done thing or not to say congratulations when someone successfully completes a stint in rehab, but we’re going to say it anyway. Congratulations to Sarah Harding who has finished an eight-week stay in a tough Arizona treatment facility – it can’t have been easy, and we think she’s incredibly brave to have sought help.
The Girls Aloud singer checked into the US clinic to seek treatment for issues to do with alcohol and depression two months ago, and we sincerely hope she’s been able to put her troubles behind her. According to sources close to Sarah, she now plans to return to the UK next week, where she’ll hold a quiet celebration for her 30th Birthday with just close friends and family. And of course she has the Girls Aloud 10th anniversary celebrations and shows to get involved with.
“She’s got herself together and she’s ready to get back to some sort of normal life,” a source has told The Mirror. “It’s all about taking things easy, but she’s hoping she’s conquered her demons for good.”
As well as sorting out her personal issues, it’s thought that Sarah will be patching things up with ex-fiance Tom Crane. It’s has been previously reported that Tom has flown out to the US to spend some with Sarah and according to yet more sources, they are on the road to patching things up.
“Sarah and Tom are back together with sanctions from Tom about their lifestyle. They've been having heart-to-heart chats and the outcome is that they're going to try again. They feel like they've been through too much together to let it go. Tom has flown out to be with her and help her through her problems. He felt partly responsible. They've been living a healthy lifestyle and rediscovering why they fell for each other in the first place. They both believe they can come out of this stronger than ever.”
Sarah, we really do wish you all the best.
