The 9 0’Clock - Simon Cowell’s X Factor curfew crackdown

If the X Factor contestants ever forgot that Simon Cowell is the boss of the show, they’ve been given a stern reminder that Si’s in charge. In the wake of the Frankie Cocozza scandal, Simon has decided that it time to straighten out the remaining acts,

“Simon has been in touch with the team and wants things to be toughened up for the contestants,” source tells The Mirror. “He wants proper curfews for the acts and more people looking after the singers’ welfare.”

While a source at ITV admitted that channel bosses want the X Factor  to “clean up it’s act”, in the wake of Frankie’s antics,

“The feeling here is the series has not gone as well as previous years and the contestants have been handled badly. The show was seen to celebrate Frankie partying, encouraging him to go out at one point, and then was surprised when he pushed things to the limit.”

Looks like whoever re-joins the show won’t be having much fun.

    It was Alexandra that came first and JLS second OK.COM ;) Joe was first Olly Second. Sometimes its better to be the runner up me thinks.

    jemlou, have you been drinking? Cher is not bigger than Matt! She is an arrogant little girl who will come down to earth with a bump once she has been dropped by her record label for being a one album wonder. The girl needs to learn a lesson, she will not last. Matt has the ability, the voice and puts in the hard work. Bigger than Matt, please....barefoot, you hit the nail on the head there. It is all about the here and now but once they are voted off, its all done and dusted.

    In what world is Cher bigger than Matt? She's absolutely crap and no amount of styling or PR will change that fact. I personally thin x-factor and most other TV talent shows are a waste of time. They use up contestants for veiwership, but once they're booted off or the show is over most end up forgotten about with no support and no credibility left after doing these shows. They're all told from the start of the live shows tat they can/will be stars, but in reality most of them end up going back to obscurity feeling rejected and disillusioned. I think if you really want to be a musician, then you need to put in the hard work of gigging and busting your ass to earn your record deal.

    Joe McEldrey won with JLS second. Agree with Goldigga it's far too late now, they should've done it at the beginning. Hindsight is such a good thing when it's already happened!

    Isn't it a bit late for Simon to be imposing curfews on the contestants? You'd have thought that if he was at all bothered about the show then he'd have done this at the begining with the curfews and extra support for the acts. All i see is him being too wrapped up with the US version to actually care about this one.

    Simon is to old to remember whats its like to be young there is only one winner the rest will fade to distant memory so they may as well have fun while it lasts. Simon should listen to the public himself we are just tired of this type of show full stop its got nothing to do with the judges or the acts we are just BOOOORRREEEDDDD
