If you’re a celebrity, one of the best things about Twitter has to be the power jump online and fire off a 140-character mimi-statement to deny whatever rumours about yourself are currently doing the rounds.
Model and new mum Abbey Clancey has decided to just that – with the added bonus of a picture – to address the gossip that she’s undergone some lip plumping surgical enhancements.
Abbey was spotted earlier this week with some very full-looking lips when she attended a special WAG lunch in Manchester hosted by designer Phillip Armstrong.
A pal of the model/TV presenter was quick to deny that Abbey has tampered with her looks in anyway, telling The Mirror, “Abbey insists she has had nothing done; her lips are entirely her own.”
Clearly that wasn’t enough to stop people talking, because Abbey has since posted this rather delightful shot of herself on Twitter. We think she’s trying to make a joke when she says, “I swear I haven't had my lips done!!!! #foralltheintelligentpeopleoutthere!”
Of course, we’re sure that much like celebs who are accused using Botox then post pics of themselves pulling expressive faces, Abbey’s also trying to prove that she wouldn’t be able to manipulate her lips like this if she’d injected stuff into them. Cunning…
