It’s official – Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are no longer married. The couple, who confirmed their separation way back in February, split amid rumours that rocker Pete couldn’t trust Ashlee.
The Fall Out Boy bassist apparently found Ashlee’s partying too much. A source said, way back then: “He would constantly check in on Ashlee and he’d have his friends call the house and her cell to make sure she said she was where she said she was going to be.”
Pete’s since moved on from the La La singer, though, and is now seeing statuesque model Meagan Camper.
And Ashlee’s got a new beau of her own in the form of Boardwalk Empire actor Vincent Piazza.
Court documents reported on by TMZ confirm the divorce, but as the couple are keeping the specifics of the divorce private, so it is unclear who will have custody of their three-year-old son Bronx Mowgli.

In other, happier Simpson-related news, Ashlee’s older sister Jessica has revealed that she knows the sex of her unborn baby.
She’s keeping schtum about it, though. Which is only the teensiest bit annoying…
She did reveal, though, that she’s having some mad pregnancy cravings. She told US chat show host Rachel Ray: “This week it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted.”
She added: “And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."
She and NFL star fiancé Eric Johnson are expecting their baby sometime in 2012.
