Courtney Love is being forced out of the $8m house she rents after being accused of wrecking the property. Donna Lyon, the owner of the 1827 built property in New York, is taking Courtney to court (excuse the irony) in the hope of evicting her. Courtney is accused of decorating the house without consent and being behind by over $50,000 on rent payments.
Not a happy landlady
Donna told NME, “[The house] was decorated by the previous owner, interior designer Steven Gambrel. One of the requirements of the lease is that nothing should be done to the interiors.”
She continues “Courtney has wallpapered and painted a large portion of the property without my consent. I learned about this when I wanted to sell the house and had photographs taken. They sent me the brochure and I said, 'This can't be my property'."
Describing the horror Donna added, “I came to New York to see it and I was horrified by what she had done. The walls that had been hand-painted and glazed were ruined, covered in damask wallpaper and ice-blue paint.” We must be very uncool because that sounds quite nice.

Donnas lawyer Norman Fitt told The Daily Mail “Love had 'destroyed a work of art' by decorating the home.”
This isn’t the only trouble Courtney has got herself into. Earlier this year Courtney was ordered by a judge to pay a jeweler £60,000 after failing to return pieces she borrowed for a charity event.
We wonder what Laurence Llewelyn- Bowen have to say about Courtney’s taste in decorating?
