King of the jungle Dougie Poynter has recently revealed that his time spent in rehab this March was what completely turned his life around.
The I’m A Celebrity star checked into rehab early on this year to deal with alcohol issues, rumours speculate that his problem was fuelled further after splitting from long-term girflriend and The Saturdays singer, Frankie Sandford. Dougie says,
"I went into rehab after a long time having issues with myself. One thing led to another and all of a sudden I was in there…It was either that or God knows what would have happened…It was solely the best thing I've ever done, it completely and utterly saved my life.I'm all hunkydory now…When I came out I was a bit confused as to the way I was going to be living my life from then on, but I guess I got lucky…After a few months I started seeing changes, my relationships with family and friends, and life in general, got better.”
Dougie is the bassist in one our favourite pop rock bands ;Mcfly. The McFly boys have all done a stint in reality TV, although Dougie’s appearance has been the most beneficial, securing him the jungle crown. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on Dougie, you know who to call.
