Teenage hearts across the globe were shattered into a million teeny tiny pieces when Selena Gomez was spotted with a sparkly, engagement-like ring on her ring finger earlier this week. But an official rep has confirmed that that the ring is NOT an engagement ring... Phew!
“She’s NOT engaged,” Selena’s official spokesperson has told US Weekly. We know at least two girls at heat Towers who’ll be very relieved to hear that Justin, 17, has not popped the question to his 19-year-old girlfriend.
Wedding bells
Oddly enough, Justin and Selena are in Mexico at the moment for a wedding. Selena is on bridesmaid duty for costume designer Shannon Larossi – Selena met Shannon on the set of her Disney Channel series Wizards Of Waverly Place. We wonder if a romantic weekend spent at a friends wedding will give Justin any funny ideas?
Married by 25
Young Justin is certainly marriage-minded. He’s spoken in the past about his desire to settle down and have kids by the time he’s 25,
“By 25 or 26, I want to see myself, like, married or start looking for a family. I want to be a young dad. I want to be able to have done what I wanted to do — to be successful, to do a movie or whatever. But if the time is right, I definitely want to be married by 25,” Justin told WWD in September this year, adding, “One thing — I’m not looking to get married now.”
