For most people, New Year's day is a day for slobbing out in front of the tv and eating the last of the naughty festive food that is still hanging around your house.
Lindsay Lohan found herself having to call the police on the first day of 2012. Not ideal, really. No, the 25-year-old actress wasn't being a young scallywag and raising hell, she was left feeling frightened after an older man allegedly knocked on her door demanding to speak to her. According to TMZ, Lindsay asked the man to leave but he refused, demanding she open her door.
Feeling understandably upset, Lindsay called the Los Angeles police, reporting a trespasser on her property. Within minutes the cops arrived and handcuffed the man, who looked to be in his 40-50s.
This isn't the first time Lindsay has had to deal with a trespasser. In May 2011 the blonde star obtained a restraining order against an alleged stalker who she claimed had trespessed on her proerpty and threatened to kill her. The stalker allegedly visited the actress' home three times and sent Lindsay over 100 text messages.
After a stormy 2011 filled with court appearances and controversy, we hope LiLo has a calmer, happier 2012...
