Nicole Scherzinger made a huuuuuge error the other night when she confused Andrew Lloyd Webber for a member of the royal family.
The US X Factor judge was about to perform on stage at the Royal Variety Performance on Monday night when she made the gaffe. After being asked if Princess Anne would be the first royal she’d met, she replied: “No, I’ve met Lord Lloyd Webber. He’s a Lord isn’t he? Fart, I think I called him Sir earlier on!”
As silly as this mistake is, we really like that she’s using ‘fart’ as a swearword and we might try to incorporate it into our daily conversations. The ex-Pussycat Doll also admitted that she needed some crib notes in her dressing room to stop her fluffing up.
According to the Daily Mail, she had a sign in her room reminding her how to correctly pronounce ‘ma’am’. She said: “I get to meet Princess Anne and I have to address her as ‘Your Royal Highness’. I have practised my curtsey and on a sheet in my room it says “Address her by Ma’am…sounds like ham”.
“I grew up in musical theatre and to be able to sing Phantom of the Opera and do my own version of it and hopefully it will be okay.”

And, perhaps if she gets the time inbetween sending Tinie Tempah DMs on Twitter, she’d take a trip to perform on Broadway: “I’ve been asked to do a lot of roles on Broadway but the time has never fit.”
There’s been no word from ‘Lord’ Lloyd Webber about whether he liked her performance of the song that he wrote for the hit musical, but we’re sure he won’t mind being given such a compliment. It is a compliment to be considered a member of the royal family, right?
