Oh no! What on earth is going on the world of celebrity romance these days? After Marvin Humes and Rochelle Wiseman's lovely news this morning and Katy Perry and Russell Brand's horrible news yesterday, comes the sad announcement that Mark Feehily and his boyfriend Kevin McDaid have split up too!
Mark revealed the news this afternoon, by tweeting, "Sadly Kevin & I are no longer together. We've had an amazin 7yrs&are both so thankful for the love&support u have shown us from the start. We won't be answering any questions about this as its a very private matter. Thanks in advance for understanding that,Lots of love.Mx"
As Mark mentioned, the pair had been together for a staggering seven years - and it was just a few weeks ago that we heard Mark say that he was hoping the couple will get married in 2012, after the final Westlife tour ends.
"We plan to get married as soon as possible but it’s about finding a gap to do it,” he told The Mirror at the end of November.
Now it's not to be. How very sad. We really thought Mark and Kevin were here to stay.
Wow! What a week it's been in the celebrity world. First Sinead O'Connor revealed she was splitting up from her husband after 16 days, Gethin Jones and Katherine Jenkins split up, Russell Brand filed for divorce from Katy Perry, Beyonce may have given birth, Dido did give birth to a baby named Stan, Chris O'Dowd proposed to Dawn Porter and now we have an engagement and another split. We're emotionally wrung out!
