Well, we’re all making New Year’s resolutions right now and it seems Robbie Williams has already got his lined up and laminated (so to speak). The Take That star says he would like to be “a better husband” to wife Ayda Field as a part of his 2012 goals and aims to be “the best popstar in the world”. Not asking for much then, Rob?
The Robster told The Mirror, "It's very important for me to feel like I am competing, more so than ever. I haven't wanted to go out there and be the best in the world since 2005. Someone has to be the best in the world right now and I want to aim for that, and if I don't make it I want to be somewhere near it.”
Wow, now there’s a big promise. Do we think Robbie can be the best in the world? Does that mean he’s planning on, er, cracking America?
Rob went on, “This year will be the best year of my life. I want to be a better husband. I want to be a better guy and I want to be as happy as I can be."
We reckon he can achieve that last bit, after all he has a beautiful wife and plans for a ninth album are in the making. But best pop star in the world? We reckon the likes of Bieber and Beyonce and maybe even a few others might have something to say about that… but we’ll see!
