Sarah Jessica Parker has said that worries about her looks are “wonderful problems”.
The Sex and the City star has been on the receiving end of some nasty comments about her appearance in the past. Because we’re nice, we’re not going to repeat all of them right now, but we’re giving you evils, Maxim (the kindly lads there decided to get their readers to vote for the ‘Unsexiest Woman Alive’, and in 2008, SJP ‘won’ the accolade).
At the time, she said it was “brutal”, and that it not only upset her, but her husband, Matthew Broderick. Now, she’s said that she worries more about her career and her family than the way she looks.
The 46-year-old fashion maven told Stella: “I try to dress appropriately for my age and I’m a realist about what I look like.
“But if those physical things were my insecurities I’d be thrilled. What wonderful problems."
Bigger fish to fry
"My insecurities are more substantial than that. I worry first and foremost about my children and their health. My husband, and his. I worry about what work opportunities will come up.”
Unlike other female celebrities her age we’d be very silly to mention, she isn’t keen on plastic surgery. She added: “There are women who feel that Botox is necessary, but more and more I don’t think it is important for the industry.”
