When you’re a well-paid footballer, we guess money is not an object. Especially at Christmas. So it should be no surprise that Wayne Rooney will be delighting his wife Coleen with a brand new stable block for her horse – as a special Christmas pressie.
The Manchester United star is said to have paid around £48,000 for the stable to be built within the grounds of their £4 million home in Cheshire – and all so that Coleen doesn’t have to make a 45-minute drive to a horse-yard in Warrington to see her horse.
A friend revealed, “Coleen is horse-mad. She loves her horse and loves riding to keep fit. She will be thrilled. As long as the plans are accepted by the local authority, they should be up and running early next year."
Not a bad pressie from bad-boy Wayne, eh? In fact, it’s pretty thoughtful.
And Coleen won’t be the only one benefitting from having her horse nearby for a gallop. It seems the couple’s two-year-old son Kai is also a big fan of four-legged friends and has been promised a pony by his mum after he enjoyed his first riding lesson in September.
In fact, Mrs Roo was so excited about her little boy becoming a master rider that she posted the picture of Kai on a little Shetland pony on Twitter – cute!
The friend continued, “Coleen's really excited. She's really looking forward to being able to go out riding with Kai when he's a bit older."
Well, it looks like the Rooneys are in for a lovely Christmas, eh? Well done, that Wayne.
