While most celebs do everything they can to keep their surgical enhancements a secret (Katie Price excluded), but Reality TV star Chanelle Hayes has opened up about going under the knife - even going so far as to admit that she is a fan of surgery.
Talking about her liposuction treatment on Get Thin or Die Tryin (10 Jan, MTV at 9pm) the young mum admits that when diets didn’t work she made the decision to get some surgical help.
“I had these massive big fat pockets there [points to outer thighs] and there was just nothing I could do. I’ve tried the Dukan diet, Atkins diet, Weight Watchers diet, the cabbage soup diet.” Continues Chanelle, “The negative calorie diet, colonics, I’ve tried slimming pills, slimming patches, I’ve tried slimming teas, I’ve had hypnotherapy, I’ve tried sitting in a rubber suit being vibrated. Yeah, that didn’t work, that’s just strange. Honestly, I’ve tried everything and none of it works. And I said I thought I’d just get it sucked out. I was put under anesthetic and woke up skinny.”
Chanelle also rather controversially says that she is a fan of surgery and even suggests that anyone who isn’t happy with their body should go under the knife.
“I am quite a big fan of surgery. I know that it’s all taboo and you’re not really meant to be a fan of surgery but I am, so whatever, deal with it. And I’ve not regretted it since, not even in the slightest. If you wanna change your shape a little bit just get lipo in your problem areas and have done with it, don’t make yourself unhappy.”
Positive effect
The lads’ mag favourite finally revealed that she would have more surgery in the future as lipo has made her happy.
“I would definitely consider having it again. But just on my arms because I hate them. Because every time I’ve had it done it’s had a positive effect on my life. It’s made me happier than dieting has made me. I don’t think anybody is ever 100% happy with their body. And I know that I never will be.”
What do you think about Chanelle’s attitude to surgery, and are your surprised by how honest she’s been about it?
