Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have had a rocky relationship since their divorce in 2006, however Denise has revealed that the former couple have now become close friends, and even managed spent Christmas together with their children.
Speaking on Access Hollywood Live, she said, “It’s our ‘Modern Family,’ I suppose. We've actually become like brother and sister, we really have. We've become very, very good friends and we wanted to have a trip with our daughters - and it's Christmas for them, so it's good.
"When we all spend time together, it's great for the kids and for us too. We actually get along."
Delving into why the couple have become close again, she said, “I think [the key is] making it about the kids. The stuff between the couple - if you're divorced - it's no longer about you anymore. You have to be the bigger person and make it about the kids and so that's what we're doing."
Exhusband Charlie has also recently opened up and revealed that following a bizarre 2011, he is now in a much better place. He said, “I’m not crazy any more. That was an episode. I think I’m a different person than I was yesterday. Everything is a lot more mellow and focused and much more rooted in reality.”
