Daniel Radcliffe: “Me and Rupert Grint ARE very good friends”

Remember a few weeks back when Daniel Radcliffe admitted that while he texts his former co-star Emma Watson frequently, he never has textular contact with Rupert Grint?

Those casual comments set off a whole Dan-Rad-isn’t-friends-with-Rupert storm, and in the process broke the hearts of a million Harry Potter fans who like to think that all the cast are BFFs in real life. Well, there’s some good news – because Daniel has decided to set the record straight and reassure Potter fanatics that he is good pals with the ginger hunk.

“Rupert and I never text,” Dan told Ryan Seacrest on his On Air radio show. “We never have in 10 years of filming. We are crappy at texting each other back and we both know that's how the other person is and we just accept it.

“The next time I see Rupert we will sit down next to each other and chat and it will be like old times. Me and Rupert are very, very good friends. It's just that we are not constantly texting each other.”

Call us tragic, but it makes our little Potter-loving hearts happy to hear that Daniel and Rupert are good friends. We’d hate to think that Harry and Ron didn’t really get along.

“I turned up to the Harry Potter set drunk!”

It’s been a big week for Dan-Rad revelations. As well as assuring us that he IS on good terms with Rupert, he has also confessed exclusively to heat (on sale now) that before he became tee-total he occasionally turned up to the Harry Potter set drunk!

“I can honestly say I never drank at work on Harry Potter. I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work. [But] I can point to many scenes where I’m just gone. Dead behind the eyes.”

Read Daniel’s full interview only in this week’s heat magazine.

It is totaly a man thing. My other half wont ever text his mates to see how they are but will specificaly go on his Xbox to chat, never share or talk about anything that involves feelings but just to chat. If they've got woman issues he'll just say it's way out of his league.

Lots of men don't text their friends, doesn't mean they're not friends! It's a man thing!
