It’s a dark day for the fans of David Beckham and the entire Beckham family. They’re not returning to England or even Europe as previously thought! *throws self on floor and sobs hysterically*
Speculation was rife that David would leave Los Angeles and his team LA Galaxy in favour of playing for a European team, but it’s not to be. David has signed a new contract with LA Galaxy, and all the Beckhams will stay in America for the foreseeable future. Boo!
“This was an important decision for me,” David has said in a statement. “I had many offers from clubs from around the world, however, I'm still passionate about playing in America and winning trophies with the Galaxy.
“I've seen first-hand how popular soccer is now in the States and I'm as committed as ever to growing the game here. My family and I are incredibly happy and settled in America and we look forward to spending many more years here.”
But what about us, David? WHAT ABOUT US? We need you here!
