It’s a rare occurrence that we venture into the realms of politics, but sometimes we are forced to defend our favourite celebrities in their time of need. Prime Minister David Cameron has dubbed Katy Perry “appalling” in an interview with the Daily Telegraph. Shame on you Mr. Cameron, talk about kicking Katy when she’s down! Has the PM not seen the latest edition of heat, featuring all the detailed info on Katy’s recent split with hubby Russell Brand?
The conservative leader has told the Telegraph of his love of pop music, (down with the kids much?) but says that he much prefers the musical stylings of Band of Horses and Lana Del Ray, blaming his children for what he calls “infecting” his iPod with the likes of Katy Perry and Bruno Mars.
Fair enough, everyone has their own tastes in music. To be honest David’s comments were worth the image in our head of him listening to I Kissed A Girl in disgust while on his way to the House of Commons.
