We sense a major A-list celebrity feud brewing.
David Furnish has blasted Madonna after she beat Elton John to win the Best Original Song gong at Sunday night’s Golden Globes. Clearly not happy that Madge bested his husband, David took to his Facebook page for a good old rant.
“Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism.”
The war between Elton and Madonna actually ignited on the red carpet before the awards bash even began. With Madonna’s song from her film W.E. up against Elton’s track from the animated movie Gnomeo And Juliet, Elton told reporters that he did fancy Madge's chances of winning, “Mary J [Blige] might win it for The Help. Madonna doesn't have a f***ing chance,” he said.
When the pop legend was asked if his comments were fighintg words he simply quipped, “No, those are accurate words.”
Madonna of course didn’t take Elton’s bitching, and she soon launched her own verbal attack when she heard what Elt had been saying. She told reporters, “Was he wearing a dress? Damn him, those are fighting words. OK, well may the best man win.”
We can’t wait for the next round!
