Gwyneth Paltrow loves to dish out advice. If you’ve seen her Goop website you’ll know exactly what we mean. Now the mother of two reveals that part of the secret to her marriage to Coldplay front man Chris Martin is being a housewife who is always there for her family.
“I have little kids in school,” the Oscar-winning actress tells Harper’s Bazaar. “I want to maintain my marriage and my family, so I have to be here when he [Chris] comes home.”
The magazine goes on to detail Gwyn’s daily routine, which involves waking at 7am and working on her website and other projects while her kids are at school, and making sure that dinner is on the table when Chris comes home from work.
“You have to be a wife”
Gwyneth also explains that she recently shared her relationship advice with a famous friend, suggesting that her pal learn to compromise with her new partner,
“She is an actress and in a new relationship,” Gwen let slip. “With someone else with a big career. I said this may not be feminist, but you have to compromise. It's been all about you and you're a big deal. And if you want what you're saying you want – a family – you have to be a wife, and that is part of the equation."
“Difficult phases”

If you’re not convinced by Gwyn’s ideas about how to conduct a successful marriage, we don’t blame you. The lady herself even admits that she’s gone through rocky patches with Chris,
“We've been married for more than eight years now, and we're still into it. I think you do fall in and out of love and you just keep going, and every time you go through a really difficult phase, you rediscover something new and it just gets better.”
Now, call us sentimental types but we’re happy to hear that Chris and Gwyn are still together.
