James Corden postpones wedding day for Broadway show

James Corden postpones wedding day for Broadway show

It’s good news for James Corden this week, he has found out his West End play One Man, Two Guvnors is moving across the pond, opening in New York in April. This, however, means bad news for his fiancee Julia Carey, as the couple’s wedding has been postponed so that James can continue with the popular show.

James has revealed that he will be too busy to marry Julia, who he proposed to on Christmas Day back in 2010. The couple had their first child together, Max, born in March last year. James says,

“I’m not getting married just yet, I’m too busy working…I’m off to New York in a few months. There is just too much going on…Going to America is the best prize so fingers crossed it will work out on Broadway. I will be taking my family with me which will be amazing but it has meant we’ll have to marry when we get back. We haven’t set a date yet.”

We suppose she can’t be too mad at the funny man if he’s whisking her to New York for a few months.

The Gavin and Stacey star has also confessed that he’d like David Beckham to be his best man on the big day. We can’t help but wonder what kind of wedding the actor will have, but going from the 33-year-old's recent revelations, the couple’s first dance could be to One Direction, or even Justin Bieber! James says,

“It’s not fashionable but I likeOne Direction…I just think they’re good.” But what does James think of teeny bopper Bieber?

“He is ludicrously talented…He’s not manufactured, or from a talent show, he’s the real thing, and still everybody hates him. Well, not me: I’m a Belieber.”

This sounds like our kind of wedding.
