It’s yet to return to our screens, but The Only Way Is Essex is already getting slated by various celebrities (although let’s face it, they’re probably just totally jel). Jodie Marsh is the latest star to hit out at the show which follows the life of a young, very spoilt and very vajazzled Essex clique. The model turned body-builder says,
“Kirk Norcross is a really nice boy and Joey Essex is the best thing that has ever been on TV...As for the rest of them, I could not comment whether they have ever done a day’s work in their lives. I don’t know whether any of them even knows what work is...They live in a different world. Everything I do is real and I don’t think anything they could do is real.”
And the sharp-tongued 33-year-old didn’t stop there. Jodie went on to say,
“Obviously, they have got some fitness DVDs out but I am pretty sure some of them have never been in a gym in their lives other than to set up TOWIE scenes.” Still, that’s more than us.
Well, we knew that the TOWIE girls wouldn’t take this lying down. Sam Faiers has hit out at Jodie via Twitter, tweeting,
‘Jodie Marsh saying Towie never done a days work in our life? I worked in the bank for 3 years! Jodie wore belts across her boobs? Hard work’
We would say that Jodie has got a lot of guts standing up to the uber-tanned Essex crew, but with the kind of muscles that rival an action man doll, we’re just going to hide under our desks and remain frightened and neutral...for once.
