Lily Allen gave birth to her daughter back in November last year, but the baby’s name has remained a secret…. until now.
Lily and her husband Sam Cooper have given their daughter a wonderfully cute and old-fashioned name, she’s called Ethel Mary. So no crazy baby names for Lily and Sam then.
The retired singer still hasn’t officially announced the arrival of baby Ethel, and she didn’t actually publicly reveal her daughter’s name either. Instead, Lil’s mum Alison Owen accidentally let slip the name of her granddaughter on Facebook.
Lily has kept quiet since the birth of Ethel, although she did thank fans for their kind messages via Twitter, saying, “Thank you for all the flowers and lovely messages everybody. very touching indeed. nuff luv x x.”
Sam and Lily tied the knot in a Gloucestershire village last summer, and during Sam’s wedding speech he announced the news that Lily was pregnant. The Smile singer had previously suffered the heartbreak of two miscarriages.
