And why not, eh? He’s worked hard for that cash in the past year – so why shouldn't Mark Owen make the most of his dosh by buying himself a painting worth £20,000 to celebrate his 40th birthday?
The Take That star (who is pictured here eyeing up another piece of artwork at an auction last month) apparently fell in love with the piece by a British graffiti artist called Bambi - which sees an 80-year-old woman smiling away in London. The painting even has the words “Make tea not war” on it and Marky immediately decided it deserves a place in his house in London town.Well, that’s way better than spending the money on booze, we say!
Elsewhere in the world (in LA, actually) Robbie Williams has also been flashing the cash on the art market. The happily-married singer is said to be paying a sculptor to actually make a life-sized statue of his hot wife Ayda Field for their back yard. Err…

Yep, apparently Rob wants to have a stone version of his lady standing there in the garden.
A Williams-related source admitted, “Robbie likes the idea of a tour of his gardens telling the story of his life since moving to LA. Ayda is a big part of that, along with his reunion with the band. It's a wacky idea but, knowing Rob, will be something he gets stuck into. He's even thinking of having copies of their dogs made. Some people have garden gnomes, Robbie wants copies of his real-life family."
Crikey, well we guess that statue will fit nicely next to the 100ft robot, Om, which Robbie shipped to his house after the The Progress Tour. Who needs good old fashioned trees, eh?
