Tissues at the ready. Michelle Williams has been questioned about Heath Ledger and her comments will bring a lump to your throat and tear to your eye.
Speaking about the shocking death in 2008 of her former fiancé and father of her daughter Matilda, Michelle admits she was driven “crazy” in the aftermath of Heath’s death.
“It was making me crazy. I felt like I was going crazy,” Michelle admits to GQ. “It was too much - trying to deal with what had happened and trying to deal with what was at our doorstep. I just felt trapped. And it's not just me - there's somebody else who I'm trying to protect, and I can't. I can't make it stop, I can't make it go away. Trying to find ways to explain it or shield her from it. It's like you're trying to go about your life, and make dinner...but the roof is off of your house, and the walls are falling down.”
If that’s not tear-jerking enough, Michelle also admits that six-year-old Matilda sets an example for her, “[Matilda’s] bravery and exuberance is the example that I take with me in my work and in my life.”
Don’t worry, we’re blubbing too.
