If you’re waiting for Justin Bieber to do what so many teenage stars before him have done and enter his rebellious phase, you might be hanging around for some time yet.
The clean-cut singer, who turns 18 in March, has said in a new interview that he’s in no rush to go out drinking and partying, he also hints at the fact that he’s still a virgin (get ready to cringe when he uses the phrase “love making”),
“I'm not going to try to conform to what people want me to be or go out there and start partying, have people see me with alcohol. I want to do it at my own pace. I don't want to start singing about things like sex, drugs and swearing. I'm into love, and maybe I'll get more into making love when I'm older. But I want to be someone who is respected by everybody.”
The Canadian star also admits that he doesn’t feel “completely grown”, but also states that “people need to know I’m not a kid anymore.”
They hate the idea of me
As well as opening up about his reluctance to become a celebrity train wreck (and good on him for that, we say), the Biebs also complained that now he’s famous people are trying to bring him down,
“When I was coming up, trying to get to where I am now, people were so happy for me. They were rooting for me. Now that I'm on top, everyone wants to bring me down. Everyone's trying to tug at me and take my spot
“A lot of people say they hate Justin Bieber who haven't even listened to my music. They just hate the idea of me.”
