Last night the world of pop world was momentarily spun into chaos when The Saturdays took to the stage at the Tickled Pink charity event at Shepherd’s Bush Empire – without band mate Vanessa White!
A spy at the gig tells heatworld: “The Saturdays were on after Chipmunk but there was a delay of about half an hour which was strange, then when they came on stage Vanessa wasn’t there. The girls made no mention of it at all, and weirdly, Rochelle stopped at one point and said how grateful she was that Una had made it despite being heavily pregnant. It was strange considering they didn't explain why Vanessa hadn't joined them on stage.”
Rumours of major girl band drama started to circulate when fans tweeted that Vanessa had been seen leaving the venue in floods of tears.
However, a spokesperson for The Saturdays explained to heatworld today that Vanessa’s absence was down to a nasty stomach bug.
We’re told: “Vanessa did the sound check and was fine but soon after felt sick and was struck down with a suspected stomach bug. She’s fine but just needs to rest so was sent home.”
