After spending what seems like forever sunbathing in Hawaii (not that we’re madly jealous or anything), Rihanna has been hanging out at Hollywood's Shamrock Social Club tattoo parlour. She’s also been back on Twitter, albeit not in tiny bikinis showing off her amazing body this time (again, not that we’re jealous), sporting some new tattoos.
Rihanna’s already got around fifteen tats, but she’s now added to the collection with the words ‘THUG LIFE’ across her knuckles in Pink lettering. Her new ink appears to be in homage to rapper Tupac Shakur, who had the words tattooed across his stomach. RiRi tweeted the pic of her new body art with the caption '♫ All these b****es screaming that 2pac back ♫ #THUGLIFE.' We’re not really cool enough to understand that last bit, but we will say it looks painful. But then we are wimps.
It looks like she might also have got a new etching on her back, as she tweeted another pic of herself, led on her front while her tattoo artist Mark Mahoney leans over her. She looks kind of bored in the second snap… but hey, she’s Rihanna. This is just another typical day in her uber cool life that we have already said we are totally not jealous of.
RiRi has said in the past to Atlanta Peach, “I like hanging out in tattoo shops. When I am in New York, after all the photo shoots and performances, when I should be resting, sometimes I get dressed and go to the tattoo parlors in SoHo and hang out. I am so intrigued by tattoos. It’s an entire culture, and I study it. Sometimes I go with friends or just by myself.”
We’re not so sure we want to go through the tattoo bit (because we’ve heard that can hurt), but we definitely do want to steal every other part of her look. Now, who’s rushing out to buy a John Lennon tee and high waisted black skirt?
