We appreciate that when it comes to helping out a good cause, not all celebrities have the time or energy to tackle extreme challenges. And we don’t blame them - it looks like very hard work.
So, while it’s hugely impressive that David Walliams swam the Thames for Sport Relief last year, and that Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton cycled across the South Pole it’s good to know what other less sporty celebs can do their bit by simply being funny.
Shameless actress Alice Barry – who plays local madam Lillian Tyler on the Channel 4 drama – has shown her cheeky side (literally) to help the Sport Relief cause. Alice re-created the famous “Tennis Girl” Athena poster.

“What better reason to get my kit off than for Sport Relief,” says Alice. “I had an absolute ball and I want you to join in on the fun with me by entering the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 25 March at sportrelief.com right now – or you’ll have me to answer to. Move over Andy Murray, there’s a new tennis champ in town.”
This is the best laugh we’ve had all day. So if that’s not reason enough to support Sport Relief we don’t know what is. Visit www.sportrelief.com for details of how you can get involved!
