Simon Cowell spent his Christmas break relaxing in St. Barts with a gaggle of beautiful women – including ex-girlfriend Sinitta. But one lady was noticeably absent – his fiancé Mezhgan Hussainy.
The TV mogul has now admitted that his relationship with his make-up artist fiancé is “complicated” and that he shouldn’t have called her “The One”.
“It’s quite a complicated relationship. We have had a break from each other, and we are still incredibly close,” Simon says in the Sunday Mirror. “I’m vulnerable. It’s not on, it’s not off, it’s somewhere in the middle. I don’t know if I will ever get married, but I am happy.”
The returning Britain’s Got Talent judge has also confessed that calling Mezhgan “The One” during his interview on Piers Morgan Life Stories was a mistake, he now says, “I have been pretty good about not talking about my private stuff, but I got caught up in the moment.”
All of which can’t make for very pleasant reading if you’re name is Mezghan Hussainy. But at least she doesn’t have to worry about giving up the multi-million pound lifestyle, should she ever break up with Simon. The talent show boss – who is worth £200 million – has admitted that he does give some financial support to his ex-girlfriends,
“I don’t pay them off, but if you have been with someone long enough, there is a -responsibility. You can’t say one minute you can live this type of life and then the light goes off. I wouldn’t do it for every girl I have dated because I would be broke."
