Steve was talking about their first meeting on the Ellen DeGeneres Show: "She had on this hair band on around her head. She looked really old-fashioned, so I took her back in the room and she tied me up with it and I thought, 'I'm marrying this girl'."

Steve confirmed his engagement to Erin on January 2, ending weeks of speculation after pictures appeared showing the couple having their relationship ‘blessed’ in Hawaii. A date for the wedding has not been revealed yet.
Steve’s children, Liv Tyler and Mia are said to be furious that they found out about the proposal by reading about it in the news instead of hearing from their dad. Oops.
