We were very happy yesterday to hear that Amanda Holden had left hospital and gone home with her newborn daughter Hollie.
After a traumatic birth, it goes without saying that the Britain's Got Talent judge is overjoyed about being back home with the new addition to her family. In fact the mum of two is so happy she now feels like her life is complete,
“It has been a tough couple of weeks but Amanda is looking forward to some quality time with the family,” a close friend tells The Mirror. “Despite the trauma she has been through she has never been happier and feels now her life, and her family is complete.”
After sacking more than half of the current on-screen talent on The X Factor USA (Steve Jones, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul are all gone), Simon Cowell has reportedly once again set his sights on recruiting Mariah Carey as a judge.
Simon was desperate for Mimi to take part in the first series of the talent show, but she was of course busy being a new mum. Now Simon is having another crack at convincing Mairah to judge, “Simon wants nothing but the best for the X Factor – and Mariah is the best,” an insider tells The Mirror.
Mariah would be an amazing judge, but Simon should get his hopes up, as the pop diva’s husband Nick Cannon has said taking on such a role would be a step back for the singer, “Why would my wife want to be on a show like that? For somebody who has a legendary career, I don’t know why they would.”
Boo, nick! Boo, we say!
Si-Co’s a man used to getting his own way – do you think he’s out of luck this time, or will we see Mariah on The X Factor?
Being Brits we’re not all that interested in the Super Bowl itself. However, we are fascinated by the hype surrounding it, and of course the celebrity half-time performances and mega-bucks adverts.
This year the NFL have persuaded Madonna to sing and she’ll be joined by M.I.A and Nicki Minaj (we know, amazing!). But the Grand Priestess of Pop has confirmed that she won’t do a Janet Jackson and “accidentally” flash her nipples in an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.
During her 12-minute show Madge has pledged that, “for sure [there'll be] no nipple. I wasn't going to go there.” But this is Madonna, so she must have something controversial planned, surely?
We can't wait to see what Madonna does to entertain the millions to tune into the Super Bowl.
