It’s been a tough old time for Katy Perry. It was just over a month ago that her ex-husband Russell Brand filed for divorce citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason. But it seems there is one person who has been on-hand to look after poor Ms P, and that’s her ex-boyfriend, Travie McCoy.
Speaking out about being a trusted and loyal friend, Travie revealed to The Mirror, “There will always be a connection between us. I'll always be there for her. When you've been in a relationship like ours, you will always make time for that person."
He went on, "Katy was there for me through my hard times when things were really bad. Life goes on. I have regrets about the way we ended. But there are no grudges any more between us. I'll always be there for her, she knows that.”
heat told you ages ago that Rusty B was jealous of these two and their ‘special bond’ - and now it really sounds as though Travie has really become her shoulder to cry on.
Mr M also had his say on whether Katy and Russell simply rushed into their marriage, saying, "Do I think she got married to Russell too fast? When you're feeling it, you're feeling it. You can't help how you feel. I've said to Katy stay away from the internet. It's the biggest mistake I made, and that's when things went sour with us."
Well, she’s going to find that hard because we all know this lady loves to tweet. But we are glad that she’s being well looked after in the aftermath of her split, because, well it’s not a nice thing to go through, is it?
We have to wonder with Russell thinks about all of this though…
