The very second when Moves Like Jagger stops playing on loop in our heads, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine comes along and does something just as great. He’s signed Glee’s Matthew Morrison to his new record label!
The muscle-bound singer has got a new label called 222 and he’s snapped up the all-singing, all-dancing, all-acting hottie as his first act. In a statement released today, he said: “Starting my own label has been a long-time goal of mine, and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening.”
“Great things are in store for [Matthew] with this release.”
Matthew, who plays Will Scheuster in the hit musical TV show, added: “Adam and I share the same vision as we begin working on my record together.”
And we totally share that vision. Two hot men making sweet music together in a cramped recording studio. Very nice.
The eagle-eyed among you will probably recognise the number ‘222’ – it’s tattooed on Adam’s forearm (yeah, sure you were looking at his forearms). He’s said it’s become something of a lucky number, as it was the name of the Hollywood recording studio where Maroon 5 recorded their very first demo. It’s also the name of his clothing line, “a minimalistic line of jeans, basic t-shirts and leather jackets” which we’re sure looks just as nice off of him as on.
This isn’t the only trick Adam’s got up his (metaphorical) sleeve at the moment – the second series of The Voice kicked off in the US on Monday. He judges on the panel, alongside Christina Aguilera, a man called Blake Shelton (no, us neither) and Cee Lo Green, who recently joined Madonna on stage at the Superbowl.
