Woman of the moment Adele is now apparently in the super-league of celebs who simply don’t do ground-based transport. The Sun suggests she’s applied for a helicopter licence so she can go to and from the shops in a chopper.
What with the 23-year-old living out in the countryside these days in a gobsmacking ten-bedroom mansion - and of course being majorly in demand after her triumphant Supermarket Sweep at the Grammys - it just makes sense to have a helicopter on hand. So she’s asking the proper authorities for permission to have a whirlybird take her from door to door, says a source. “She’s a busy woman and needs to get to places with minimal disruption,” the insider reckons.
“It will cut down her journey time by some distance and it also means she won’t have to rely so heavily on cars. Adele’s property has so much land she thought, ‘Why not?’” Why not, indeed? We’d probably have two, and maybe a small plane for that late night club appearance.

The Tottenham lass recently gave a tour of her swanky rented gaff to American telly show 60 Minutes. It’s just a stop-gap while her more permanent new house is being renovated. We can’t wait to see that one – an £8million estimated fortune should buy a lot of Grammy shelf-space and walk-in wig wardrobes.
