Everyone who loves Adele - and that is basically everyone on the planet – felt furious after Karl Lagerfeld called the Someone Like You Singer “too fat” in an interview earlier this week.
Alan Carr has now stepped in as the latest in a line of outraged celebs who’ve vented their anger at the Chanel designer

“Adele is beautiful – leave her alone. Lagerfeld is a vile old queen,” Alan has seethed in The Sun. “If I see him I'd rip his grey hair off the top of his prune face. He needs to sort his face out. I mean, he could drop kick his jowels they're so saggy.”
Wow, Alan really isn’t impressed. Go, Al!
“Taken out of context”
After whipping up a media frenzy thanks to his very thoughtless original comments about the 21 star, Karl spoke up yesterday in an effort to back track. He even went so far as to say that he identifies with award-winning singer,
“I’d like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer,” Karl said in his statement. “Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought. What I said was in relation to Lana Del Rey and the sentence has since been taken out of context from how it was originally published.

“I actually prefer Adele, she is my favorite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance. Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can’t wait for her next CD.”
We think it’s going to be a long while before people forgive Karl for his hurtful comments.
