Cheryl Cole hits back at Cher Lloyd!

Yesterday, we told you about Cher Lloyd having a not-so-subtle dig at her former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole.

Now, Cheryl has hit back, writing on her Twitter page, “Be Careful who you kick on your way up .. They kick you twice as hard on your way back down… #unappreciationisugly”



While this comment doesn’t actually name-check Cher, we really can’t think who or what else would have sparked off a reaction like this from the Girls Aloud singer. It’s pretty good advice from Cheryl – and let’s face it Cher would be a complete unknown if Cheryl hadn’t selected her for the X Factor live shows.

“If she sings live”

This mini-feud all started when Cher was asked during a radio interview if she’d like to perform with Cheryl. The feisty 18-year-old replied,  “Maybe if she sings live with me!” Ouch!

However, Cher didn’t stop there – when asked if singing live would be tricky for Cheryl, Cher remarked, “Well it is nowadays, when you haven’t got the nifty little button to press!” Cher then laughed off suggestions that she implied that Cheryl relies on autotune, giggling, “What, oh no? Never, never ever!”

    Debster makes a very good point there. All the same, Cher shouldn't be so crass as to mock Cheryl to a public audience, when she hardly made it to the X Factor live shows on merit, and she certainly relied on production during her albumn (doesn't everyone?). This recent rash of slagging is all for publicity.

    Cher is an ungrateful little snot! She ballsed her performance at judges houses and Cheryl still took her through... I'm not a Cheryl fan either, she's an absolute twunt who is far to over exposed and needs to sod off into obscurity. I hate that newspapers and magazines call her the nations sweetheart, she is a thug who took back a cheating husband and then wanted and received (not from me) sympathy when he was caught cheating again! Jog on love and take Cher with you!

    And also, people are calling Cher ungrateful towards her member - remember, Louis was Cheryl's mentor on Popstars, and she was hardly respectful towards him on X Factor now was she...

    The people saying that Cheryl can sing live because she got through Popstars should really YouTube some of her live performances on that show. I remember being really shocked at the time that she got through, a lot of it was the 'oh bless her' vote

    Cher is just an ungrateful cow! She wouldn't be where she is now if it wasn't for Cheryl & The X Factor.

    Obviously cheryl can sing live... She got into girls aloud by singing live on some tv talent show!

    Cher is right about Cheryl never singing live and relying on auto tune- but without Cheryl, even though it's true Cheryl's not the most talented, greatest singer, Cher would be nothing, so she should remember that and respect Cheryl for giving her a chance when no one else would have, and making her famous. And this comes from someone who can't stand either of them...

    It's wrong for people to say that Cheryl can't sing - she obviously can. It may be that you don't like her voice or style, but you can't dispute that she can sing. She might hit a dud note when singing live every now and then, but I think that most singers do. Listen to the Live Lounge when Florence first did You Got the Love - it was painful, yet not many people say that she can't sing. Cher can sing, but I don't like her voice, her style or her face - she gets on my wick.

    I like them both although I think Cher is being ungrateful. They can both sing. I don't think Cheryl Cole would've got through on Popstars: The Rivals if she couldn't sing :/
