You might be suprised to learn that the latest person to join the anti-Chris-Brown bandwagon is none other than the star's own mother.
In a shock move, Joyce Hawkins has spoken out against her son's Twitter outbursts after this year's Grammy awards. Joyce, who famously jumped to her son's defence in the aftermath of his beating up of then-girlfriend Rhianna in 2009, has blasted her son's behaviour on the social networking site.
After performing twice at the Grammy's, as well as taking home the Award for Best R&B album, Chris received backlash from celebs and media alike who felt his presence at the awards was inappropriate (It was after the annual Pre-Grammy's party that Chris and Rhianna's altercation occurred). After the awards, country star Miranda Lambert Tweeted,
'And Chris Brown twice? I don't get it. He beat on a girl.... Not cool that we act like that didn't happen.' Chris quickly responded by tweeting,
'HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now!' As you can imagine, the tweet featured other, stronger words that we aren't allowed to print.
Although the tweets have now been removed, sources say the With You singer's Mum is less than impressed. A source claims,
"Joyce is absolutely livid that those vile words and rants were posted on Chris’ Twitter page. She isn’t buying his excuse that he didn’t post it and she has told him that it is his Twitter page, and only he should be posting to it, period.”
Well said Joyce!
