The gravelly-voiced and very sexy presenter Dermot O’Leary has recently revealed that he was the victim of a very embarrassing wardrobe malfunction, whilst hosting the X Factor, cringe!
Dermot is one of our favourite TV presenters. The star’s cheeky charm and ability to stick up for acts against a ruthless panel on the popular talent show sure kept us entertained on a Saturday night! However, one thing you may not have known is that Dermot was made to compose himself by holding all of it together with a tiny safety pin, and we mean all of it. Dermot says,
"I remember having a wardrobe malfunction on the X Factor. I had this tight-fitting Alexander McQueen suit…I felt the trousers rip...from pole to pole, shall we say. I just had to skilfully apply a safety pin and hope for the best. It was terrifying."
That’s right, just one safety pin was between Dermot’s modesty and the eyes of what could’ve been a very shocked nation. Mind you, we doubt there would’ve been that many complaints.
Dermot is about to host some of the red carpet footage at this year’s BAFTA awards, but he says that this time he’s more worried about ruining anyone else’s outfit than his own! Dermot went on to say,
"I'll be over the moon if I get to interview Meryl Streep - though I'd be mortified if I stood on her dress!"
Well, we’re sure he'll have a pocket full of safety pins at the ready.
