ITV favourite Holly Willoughby is tipped to step into Cilla Black’s shoes as presenter of old-school favourite Surprise Surprise. The remake of the 80s and 90s classic will have a modern spin on it and will see Holly reuniting all sorts of people with long-lost loved ones. Which isn't that surprising, tbh, because ITV is about as obsessed with Holly as it is with Ant and Dec, right?
Wrong. According to The Sun, it was rumoured that Holly’s chances of presenting on ITV had been scuppered when she decided to present BBC 1’s The Voice instead of the current series of ITV’s Dancing On Ice. But - and this is a BIG 'but' - those rumours have been put to bed, with a source telling the paper: “'Holly is still very much in the frame to do it.”
Impressive. Of all the Cilla Black shows we'd like to see again, we'd pick Blinnnnnnd-d Date, but with Take Me Out providing weekly dating cringefesst, we're not sure the old format would be as successful. What do you think? Excited about Surprise Surprise?
