Soon Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s short-lived marriage will be nothing but a distant memory (sad face).
The couple have come to a divorce settlement agreement, with a paperwork filed to the Los Angeles Superior Court stating that they have reached a “comprehensive written settlement of all issues including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party.”

As the couple have no children (although they did get their cat Krusty together) the agreement only covers how they will share property, while the papers also state that the court will not be involved in awarding spousal support to Russell. Under the law Russ would be entitled to some of Katy’s $70million fortune, but as he’s worth $20million on his own, it’s not like he needs the cash.
The divorce should be a fairly easy process as both Katy and Russell have checked the boxes on the divorce paperwork that states, "[they] agree this cause may be decided as an uncontested matter.” In other words there won’t be a big trail/divorce battle.

Katy – who reportedly signed her documents with her signature and a smiley face – has also sough to change her name back to her maiden name Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson.
Sad times…
