LeAnn Rimes has once again publicly defended her slender figure – insisting that she is perfectly healthy.
The country star joined straight-talking US chat show host Chelsea Handler for a gossip, and Chelsea asked the question on everyone’s lips, “Why are you so much thinner than you were?”
In an effort to put an end to all talk of eating disorders LeAnn explained, “I was a baby! I was fat. I had baby fat. I grew up. I work out. There's nothing else to explain.”
To help LeAnn’s cause, Chelsea chipped and revealed that she saw the slim star tucking in to chocolate before taking to the stage.
“It’s like bullying!”
This isn’t the first (and probably won’t be the last) time that LeAnn has been drawn into a conversation about her much discussed waist-line on a chat show. Speaking on Ellen Degeneres’ show last year she revealed that all the speculation felt like bullying,
“No, I am not [anorexic or bulimic]," LeAnn told Ellen. "[The press has] been very irresponsible [about] calling a lot of people fat or anorexic or bulimic or whatever it may be. It seems like bullying now instead of really taking these diseases seriously that a lot of people are going through. [Anorexia and bulimia] are diseases, and using them as name calling [is] almost like bullying.”
Do you feel sorry for LeAnn over the scrutiny she faces, or do you think she is kidding herself?
