Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge to star in The Simpleton Life

We were very sad when Amy Childs left The Only Way Is Essex. And we thought we’d never get over Harry Derbidge leaving the show, but luckily the pair will be reunited in their own TV show. 

Amy and Harry will be starring a British remake of The Simple Life, the show that shot Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie into reality show superstardom.

In the programme Amy and Harry will have to complete ‘tough’ challenges that normal folk do every day, like deep sea fishing or working in a Welsh coal mine.

A source told The Sun: "The show will be just like The Simple Life but, dare I say it, even more ridiculous. Amy and Harry are not exactly known for their ability to do everyday tasks so it's a car crash waiting to happen. “

"In fairness, they are quite funny as a duo and bosses are hoping their daft chemistry will keep people entertained."

Amy Childs in a coal mine? Count us in.

    Oh. Dear. God. Why??? Why would anyone think these two are entertaining? She's living proof that a private education doesn't guarantee intelligence.

    Dumb and Dumber and even dumberer people watching it. That said, am sure I will take a peek. Their complete lack of any intelligence or common sense could prove to be hilarious car crash tv.... or complete sh*te.

    @devalle , i think the show was called princess nicki and she worked in a chip shop and stuff n was really annoying . . . these two wont stand two seconds n will hopefully go AWAY!!!!!

    Didn't they do something similar with Nikki Grahame from Big Brother - making her spend a day with binmen and fishermen and stuff like that, and wasn't the show a mahoosive flop ?

    Amy and Harry were my least favourite so I was non plussed when they left TOWIE. No doubt I will watch at least one episode but I am confident Amy moaning about nail breakage and Harry moaning about having a coal miners skin will soon have me turning over. If Rhianna is anywhere near Chris Brown, we are not ones to judge. She will remember clearly what he did to her, so if she feels the right thing to do is to work with him/be near him/date him again then good luck to her. I personally would never go back to my ex after what he put me through. And Go Florence! After touring the world and making music, moving into your own place will be a doddle ;-)
