Fans of the late musical legend Whitney Houston may feel some form of comfort this morning as reports have confirmed that the singer’s family have given the go ahead for her funeral to be streamed online.
Originally a public memorial had been planned for Friday so that fans could come to mourn the loss of the I Will Always Love You singer. However this has now been cancelled and Saturday’s private service, which her family and close friends will attend, is set to be televised and available to stream online.
The funeral will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church in New Jersey, and it seems that Whitney must’ve grown up in very musical surroundings. The late star’s godmother is soul diva Aretha Franklin, and it has been confirmed that Aretha will be singing at the service, with pastor marvin Winans delivering the eulogy.
The funeral is reported to be attended by over 1,500 mourners which will include Whitney’s close friends Chaka Khhan, BeBe Winans, L.A. Reid and Ray J, who she was rumoured to be dating at the time of her death.
We’re going to have a big box of tissues at the ready, and we won’t be taking that Greatest Hits album off of repeat.
