She was berated for muttering the cringe-tastic phrase “OK dot com” as a guest judge on The X Factor last year – but it seems Alexandra Burke is still proud of the infamous gaffe.
When we bumped into Alex last night at the Stub Hub party in London, we couldn’t help but notice her fancy nails that, on closer inspection, had been painted with “OK dot com” – Alex, we love you.
She told us: “I just think you know what, you’ve got to laugh at yourself. I’m having fun and I’m owning it baby! Why not? I might see if I can get it trademarked.”
The 23-year-old pop star also revealed details about her new as-yet-untitled album. She explained: “It’s 80% finished! The record company have told I’ve got four weeks to finish it, so I’m a bit panicked but it’s going to be fine. I’m loving everything I’ve recorded so far and I can’t wait for the second single.”
But it turned out that – like her current single spells out – there was a bit of an elephant in the room when it came to asking about her relationship to Jermain Defoe: "Oh babe, I’m not talking about that! Nice try but I’m just keeping that to myself right now but wait and see, haha.”
That is so not OK (dot com). (Sorry).
